November 2017
Illumicrate is a book subscription service which is delivered to your door on a quarterly basis – this means it’s a little more financially manageable than your average monthly box at £29 per quarter plus shipping.
I’ve been subscribed to Illumicrate since July 2017 and this box will be my 2nd from this company.

So, let’s get to it, shall we?
First up, we have this boxes hardcover book – an exclusive version of Andy Weir’s Artemis together with travel brochure and bookmark. I may have had a little squeal of delight when I saw that this was the main book of the box as it’s been on my wishlist for a while now! Get your own copy – Artemis
Then we have a bookish tea towel by Evannave Illustration, another exclusive item to Illumicrate, it’s great quality with a charming design – I doubt I’ll use it for its purpose though through fear of ruining it!
As well as the tea towel, there’s a lovely print included with a great quote by J.K Rowling printed in GOLD! My picture doesn’t do it justice, it looks fantastic. This was created by the awesomely talented Nutmeg and Arlo exclusively for Illumicrate.
I’m all for keeping organised and thanks to Illumicrate and Prism of Starlings I now have my very own exclusive to Illumicrate subscribers Unicorn Journal for 2018. YES!
Feeding my candle addiction, Illumicrate has included a candle so delicious smelling that I’m tempted to eat it (Don’t worry, I won’t) By Meraki Candles! It’s like they know me well, the bed is one of my favourite places, and even more so now I can light my aptly named “Reading in Bed” candle while I lose myself in the pages of a book.
I adore all of the items in this month’s box, however, this moon and stars necklace by Oh Panda Eyes might be my favourite. Once again, it’s an exclusive item for this box and is the perfect companion to Artemis and other stories written about space.
There are a few extras included too from This Mortal Coil and Iron Gold as well as an exclusive ARC (advanced reader copy) of The City of Brass by S. A. Chakraborty which sounds like a totally epic read which isn’t due for release until March of 2018.
So that’s it for my Illumicrate unboxing! I think you’ll agree that this is definitely worth the £29 per month!
What’s your favourite item?
Until next time…
