Top Five…
Authors I want to try in 2019

Good day to you Bookworms! How ist thou? I’m doing well, thanks! Well, kind of, I’m sat in bed (My fave place) typing this on my laptop and fighting a cold. Bloody hell! I just seem to get over one thing and then something else crops up, how bloody rude.
Never mind, I am armed with a lovely steaming mug of hot chocolate with a host of marshmallows so it could be worse, right?
Today I wanted to share with you 5 authors whose work I hope to dive into this year at some point.
All these authors are either recommended or really hyped and I can’t fail but to hear their names on the lips of book lovers the world over, so let’s jump in – in no particular order.

Adam Silvera

Adam is an American YA author with a whole bunch of books under his belt – most of which have been nominated for awards of some kind or other.
I actually added a bunch of his novels to my wishlist last Christmas and was lucky enough to be gifted They Both Die at the End and More Happy Than Not.
None of his books have less than 4 stars on Goodreads so I am expecting a lot from him!

Jay Kristoff

Jay is an author of Sci-Fi and fantasy who hails from Australia and is so incredibly popular amongst the bookish community. I’ve recently acquired Nevernight from a lovely fellow book lover who knew it was a book I wanted to get my hands on.
I’m expecting a dark, twisty novel with a lot of depth and hopefully, some feels too.

Rainbow Rowell

Rainbow is another well-regarded author on Bookstagram and Booktube, her novels are mentioned at least once per month by someone in the array of wrap up and TBR videos I watch and after seeing various Booktubers mention her works I decided it was time to see what the fuss was about.
At present, I have Carry On on my TBR and I hope to get around to it soon!

VE Schwab

Victoria Schwab writes not only adult Fiction but also children’s books too.
I have A Darker Shade of Magic on my TBR and I am expecting SO MUCH. So many people rave about her and I can only hope she lives up to my expectations! I’m thinking of magic, intrigue, death and destruction – we’ll see!

Maggie Stiefvater

The Raven Cycle is a series I see a lot about, it’s hyped, so naturally, it grabs my attention.
I’ve heard such great things about it, and I hope to make 2019 the year I finally pick it up.
Maggie writes mostly fantasy novels which is right up my street and to be honest I have no clue whats held me back from picking up something by her! I hope to change that sooner rather than later!

So there you have it – the top 5 authors I hope to try this year.
Let me know who’s on your radar? Do you recommend any of these authors? Did you hate their works? Let me know but until next time…

Have a good one!
