I Love Spring!
Hurrah! Spring is here at last – at least in the northern hemisphere.
Everything is starting to grow again, the fields are full of lambs and Easter is around the corner.
In order to commemorate my second favourite season, here’s a spring related book=tag!
1: How is Spring where you live?

It’s usually still pretty chilly, hitting between 15-18 degrees Celsius although thanks to global warming it has been known to get into the mid-twenties temperature-wise.
Mid-April is usually when the last trees start to show some colour but plants like daffodils and snowdrops start blooming as early as February. It’s a beautiful time of year – everything has that bright, shiny look to it, all brand new and healthy.
2: Most anticipated read this Spring?
I have a few, but the one that springs to mind immediately is Finalé by Stephanie Garber. Towards the end of the season, Melanie Murphy of YouTube is releasing her first work of fiction too – “If Only” which I am very much looking forward to reading.
3: A book cover that reminds you of Springtime.

Pretty much any chick lit book reminds me of Springtime, I don’t know what it is about this genre but I always want to pick it up around this time of year – I suppose because it’s so chill and usually easy to read, perfect for sitting in the garden with and enjoying some of that beautiful sunshine.
A lot of these books have pastel colours on their covers which is a palette I always associate with this season.
4: Where are you going to read this Spring?
I tend to read in my bedroom, I love my home comforts and my bed is my fave place although my brain connects it with sleep so I often end up snoozing like a lazy sloth.
Anyway, if the weather is warm enough I might sit out in our garden which is a total suntrap and I love it!
5: Find a cover with the sun on it!
Err… I tried. I failed. I’m sure I must have a book with the sun on it somewhere but can I find it? No, I feckin’ can’t.
6: What are your favourite Spring reads?
I don’t tend to read seasonally as such, but as I said, I am drawn to more light-hearted reads this time of year like romance and chick-lit. I don’t have any particular book I’d say I will definitely read now it’s Spring though.
7: Find a book with many different colours on it!
Wicked Like a Wildfire by Lana Popovic is simply beautiful and although the colours remind me more of late summer, it definitely fits this prompt! It’s probably one of my favourite covers of all the books I have.
So that’s it for this wonderful tag!
Feel free to do it yourself if you like, I’d love to see your answers.
I’m so happy Spring is here! Yay!
Until next time,
